ABOUT

Artist statement

I am an artist and teacher from Vienna
*1988 in Austria

The destruction of earth, the age of space colonization and the role of bio-politics in the endeavour to create artificial life have been my major influences during the last years. To explore the phenomenon of the human crisis and how humankind is coping with it is the driving force of my research. In my art I am interested in worldbuilding: my drawings, sculptures and videos are combined into installations. Artefacts, that the viewer has to piece together to create his/her own narrative. A wild mixture of science fiction, dystopia and techno-shamanism. I use a wide array of different techniques, ranging from traditional drawing to sculpture and
gameart. To bridge the gap between the digital and analog, everything starts with a drawing. My art is a reflection of our age: I don’t want to choose between cave paintings and VR – I think it all belongs together.
